Who's behind this

The Hidden Hill works as an agent, not a hotel or a travel platform. When you request a trip, we check availability directly with a homestay host, arrange transport from NJP if you need it, and bring in a guide if you want one — then confirm the whole thing back to you as a single plan.

We don't hold inventory and we don't take a cut of what you pay the host. You pay the host directly, on arrival, for the stay itself. What you pay us upfront is a 10% arrangement fee — for finding the right place, confirming it with a real person, and being the one point of contact if anything about the trip needs to change.

We're new. There are a handful of homestays listed here right now, not hundreds — every one of them signed a partnership and had someone from The Hidden Hill actually visit before it went up.

That means a lot of North Bengal isn't on this site yet, and won't be until it's been checked the same way. We'd rather list five places we can vouch for than fifty we can't — so if a destination or a stay you're looking for isn't here, it's not an oversight. It just hasn't been verified yet.
